Graphene-Based Supercapacitor

Supercapacitors

Nanotek’s graphene based supercapacitors function like normal electric double-layer capacitors except graphene is used in place of the typical activated carbon for the electrodes. By twisting and curving the graphene sheets, the electrolyte is able to interact with a greater percentage of the graphene’s surface area, thereby increasing charge storage.

Supercapacitors

Nanotek’s graphene-based supercapacitors exhibit a specific energy density of 85.6 Wh/kg at room temperature – That is equivalent to a Ni metal hydride battery – one that can be discharged in a matter of seconds or minutes!
